The Role
We are determined to make Hackney fairer, safer and more sustainable. The pandemic’s impact has heightened the need for action, and we are planning how to rebuild a better Hackney for our diverse communities. We have been quick to reset our corporate priorities and are now renewing ourself as an organisation to meet our communities’ needs.
We are one of the country’s biggest social landlords, looking after 23,000 tenancies and 10,000 leasehold properties and so our new Group Director will need to be passionate as we are about delivering outstanding homes and front-line services.
This is a broad and strategic role that will touch every Hackney resident and business. Beyond the significant housing brief, you will ensure that our investment decisions support the creation of sustainable jobs and our ambitious climate and net zero energy strategies are delivered at pace. Equally important will be the management and grip of responsive and innovative front-line services from waste and planning, community safety and leisure to our outstanding parks.
