Interim Director of Finance

Starfish Search are working with a charity to recruit an Interim Director of Finance and Company Secretary. This role will play a key role in overseeing the charity’s financial operations, ensuring the financial health and integrity of the charity
THE ROLE
You Will:
- Be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance, as well as leading recovery strategies to ensure the charity’s financial resilience and growth.
- Proactively contribute to their strategic direction including financial modelling and forecasts for growth and resourcing options
- Partner with the Chief Executive to drive the charity’s commercial and income ambitions, providing insight and recommendations that support their mission.
- As Company Secretary, ensure the Board’s legal and fiduciary responsibilities are discharged effectively, this includes all governance policies and documentation
You Will Have:
- Demonstrable experience of senior leadership, promoting an organisation’s vision, mission and strategy
- Examples of working to and within a strong not-for-profit / corporate governance framework
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing financial strategy, including medium-term financial planning, modelling and investment appraisal
This role will be offered on a fixed term contract of 9-12 months. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London.
