Starfish are supporting a local authority based in the North of England to recruit an Interim Director of Adult Social Care, which includes Commissioning, Business Management and Health. The role, to start in May is to replace the current DASS who is retiring. The post is likely to last for up to 6 months whilst the council appoints to the role on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE
Like many local authorities, the council is currently engaged in a large-scale transformation programme, specifically focussing services efficiencies, savings, and streamlining / improving ways of working. In the capacity of a senior leader within the Council, the Executive Director will assume the responsibility of championing corporate policies, strategies, performance enhancement, and innovation. Additionally, they will actively contribute to the overarching aims and objectives of the Council.
The role offers flexibility on hybrid working and therefore the council welcomes interest from individuals based anywhere in the UK.
