THE ROLE
Starfish Search are working with a Local Authority in the East of England to recruit and Interim Client Services Manager – Repairs and Maintenance. The focus of this role is responsibility for the council’s contracted service delivering responsive repairs, health and safety compliance, void works, and planned maintenance.
You Will:
- Lead a small Client Services Team as the most senior technical officer in the Council.
- Ensure that repairs services to tenants and maintenance of the council’s homes meet all statutory requirements and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Advise on key performance indicators to help deliver on the Council’s operational and corporate objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support and advice to the Council’s wider management team to ensure that the services provided by the Council’s contractors perform to the agreed standard.
You Will Have:
- Excellent knowledge of repairs and maintenance services in housing to include regulation, legislation, and best practice, as well as of construction codes and regulations.
- Experience of working in partnership with contractors and developing service improvements.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and managing KPI’s to monitor finances and be competent in taking corrective actions as and when necessary.
This role is running for a period of 3 to 6-months and reports to the Director of Housing, Health and Communities.
