The GLA plays a role in many areas of London life. The Mayor is responsible for a significant budget of over £21billion, impacting on the lives of Londoners every day.

The Executive Directors are an integral part of the GLA’s leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic direction for each directorate and ensuring delivery and performance in line with the Mayor’s priorities. They lead a significant and complex group of services and create an empowering and engaging environment in which the workforce can thrive.

THE ROLE

The Executive Director, Strategy and Communications leads on critical areas of work including City Intelligence, External Relations, Strategic Partnerships, London Resilience and the Fire Team. As well as leading the policy and strategy functions for the GLA, you will work closely with a wide range of partners including the London boroughs and government, and lead on resilience and fire which are high profile and important agendas for London’s communities.

This is a role at the heart of London government and requires an exceptional leader to inspire a diverse and high performing directorate.
