Interim Director of Communications

Starfish Search are working with a large health care charity to recruit an Interim Director of Communications. The focus of this role will be leading the implementation of the brand, communications and customer engagement strategies.


You Will:

  • Input into the organisational strategy and business plans as a key member of the Executive and Leadership teams
  • Establish a clear methodological process to map, track and improve their customer journey
  • Contribute to the transformation of the communications area, ensuring it is in shape to support the delivery of their strategy across all customer areas
  • Develop and manage key external stakeholder relationships
  • Deliver effective marketing solutions to support fundraising activity, working closely with the fundraising senior team
  • Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting is in place for engagement and communications activities


You Will Have:

  • Worked at Executive and Board level with demonstrable evidence of successfully contributing to the wider organisation agenda
  • Highly developed people leadership skills, evidence of leading, developing and retaining successful communications teams
  • Experience at strategically developing and operationally delivering an integrated communications strategy to support business needs
  • Experienced in effective stakeholder engagement and management
  • Experienced at driving operational excellence and leading transformational change projects


This is an Interim Maternity Cover running for 12 months on a fixed term contract. It is a hybrid role with an expected 1-2 days in their London office.
