This strategic leadership role will have responsibility for community safety, CCTV, street enforcement, counterterrorism & extremism, and environmental health: residential, pollution, public safety and trading standards.
We’re looking for a leader who will put all their passion and energy into working with others, whether that’s our communities, police, voluntary sector, or internal departments, to protect people in Greenwich.
The Assistant Director, Community Safety & Environmental Health will have strategic oversight of the Council’s Community Safety & Environmental Health service areas, as well as the Council’s Integrated Enforcement approach, and will make a wider senior level contribution as part of the Directorate Leadership Team.
They will manage five heads of service, up to 150 directly employed and contracted staff, and have budget responsibility of approx. £7m per annum.
