Interim Project Director

Starfish Search are working with a large Heritage organisation to recruit an Interim Project Director at an internationally renowned World Heritage Site. The focus of the role will be to provide support and advice to the project sponsor, and to ensure the project vision is realised through effective delivery of the project benefits and outcomes.

THE ROLE

You Will:

  • Champion the needs of the end user within the project and take personal accountability for ensuring that these are delivered
  • Influence and manage the operating environment into which the project outcomes will be delivered, including relationships with key internal and some external stakeholders, business area owners and other interested parties
  • Ensure that governance structures and processes defined in the Project Management System are adhered to
  • Support the Sponsor and Project Board to ensure that the strategic direction of the project remains aligned with any changes in business priorities

 

You Will Have:

  • Relevant client-side project delivery experience, preferably for visitor attraction or heritage management activities
  • Experience of Resource Management, Budgeting, Risk Management, Business Change and Implementation
  • A strong understanding of Governance structures and processes
  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of development management in heritage, planning and conservation principles is ideal

 

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular site visits. The role is running for 6-months with a possible extension to 12-months, candidates will need to be able to start by the end of October.
