Interim Head of Property Services

Starfish Search are working with a local authority in the South of England to recruit an Interim Head of Property Services. The focus of this role is to lead the successful delivery of day-to-day maintenance and major works programmes of the authorities social housing estates.
THE ROLE
You Will:
- Be responsible for the delivery of major capital and revenue projects, leading on all matters including procurement, contract award stage and works delivery through to successful completion
- Manage and oversee all aspects of day-to-day maintenance, major works implementation and performance monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide strategic asset management, oversight and advice to ensure the collective aims and objectives of the department and the authority are met
- Ensure that all financial, contracting, and other arrangements are in accordance with statutory and local regulations
You Will Have:
- Demonstrable experience of leading and managing effective, high performing teams
- Strong understanding of financial management, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting
- Knowledge of strategic asset management principles
- Relevant professional qualifications and experience in property services, building surveying, project management, or related fields
This role is running for a period of six months, it is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in office and will begin in March/April.
