Interim Head of Housing and Planning
The Role
A Council in the North is seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Head of Planning and Housing for a period of between 8 – 12 months, starting as soon as possible with an opportunity for hybrid working.
The Interim Head of Planning and Housing will be an integral part of the Regeneration and Environment Leadership Team reporting directly to the Director.
The post holder will also provide strategic and technical advice on strategic housing, spatial planning and development management matters to the Council’s Corporate Leadership Team and relevant Cabinet Members.
You will be:
- An experienced leader in a public sector environment with substantial experience at a Head of Service or Director level in the delivery of housing and planning services.
- Strong, effective communicator with a track record for delivering innovation in public services and a professional background in either strategic housing or town planning.
- Well organised with proven project management skills and ability to motivate others and develop a long-term vision and plan for investment in service delivery.
