Interim Head of Environmental Enforcement
Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Head of Environmental Enforcement to provide senior leadership across its environmental enforcement services. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-profile service and drive improvements in compliance, performance and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across environmental enforcement
- Lead and improve enforcement activity and service performance
- Oversee complex and sensitive enforcement cases
- Drive an intelligence-led approach to enforcement
- Work closely with senior officers, Members and key partners
- Lead service improvement and develop a high-performing team
About You:
- Strong senior experience within environmental or regulatory enforcement, ideally within local government
- Proven track record of leading and improving enforcement services
- Experience managing complex or high-profile cases
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and Members
- Strong understanding of enforcement legislation, policy and best practice
- Excellent leadership, decision-making and performance management skills
