We are working with a professional membership organisation who are entering a defining chapter. They are progressing through a significant programme of digital transformation, strengthening its policy and campaigns capability, and preparing for a major brand relaunch alongside a new five-year strategy – one that places engagement, reputation and trust, and clear, confident communication, at its heart.
We are seeking an Interim Director of Communications to provide strategic and operational leadership across its communications function during this pivotal period, as the organisation embeds its new strategy, prepares for its brand relaunch, and establishes the strategic alignment of its newly formed policy and standards unit. You will lead a broad, multidisciplinary function spanning communications, media, policy, campaigns, press, publishing, and marketing, bringing these together under a single, coherent and evidence-based narrative.
This is an interim appointment, providing continuity and strategic grip across the communications function while the the organisations’s transformation programme progresses. You will bring a strong track record of senior communications leadership in a complex, high-profile environment, sound political judgement, experience of government relations and media handling, and the resilience and diplomacy to lead a talented team with clarity and confidence through a period of significant change.
Ideally to start by September.
