THE ROLE

Starfish are supporting a Local Authority based in the Northwest to appoint an Interim Assistant Finance Director and Deputy Section 151 for up to 6 months. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability and success of the local authority. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial management, providing strategic financial advice, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements, excellent understanding of Section 151 responsibilities and experience in providing strategic financial advice to senior leaders.
