The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives. Within the UK, the British Red Cross operates through about 3500 staff and over 20,000 volunteers.


This is a significant role leading a department that is responsible for two thirds of our income. It requires an experienced leader who can bring fresh thinking to our supporter journey, deepening our insight into what motivates them and inspiring a committed and substantial team through a period of transformational change.  You may currently be operating in the charity or private sector but, regardless of background, you will bring an outstanding track record in consumer marketing and strategies for growth, with the ability to communicate and influence across a large and complex organisation.
