This is Croydon. The largest borough in London. The youngest borough in London. A borough with stark inequalities bringing an opportunity for an outstanding leader to make a massive difference.

The refresh of Croydon’s Health and Wellbeing strategy and the council’s recent peer review of Public Health has presented a collective opportunity for the council, in collaboration with partners across the ‘One Croydon Alliance’, to set a new vision for public health in the borough. There is strong commitment across our system to maximise the role and impact of public health in Croydon to enable an approach which can target the social determinants of health and build on the unique assets of our communities.
