Interim Leadership Excellence Lead

Starfish Search are working with a public sector organisation in London to recruit an Interim Leadership Excellence Lead. This role will focus on shaping and establishing the organisation’s approach to supporting the growth of leadership skills.


You Will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a range of leadership development programmes in collaboration with other stakeholders
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure all programmes are receiving good feedback, of high quality and aligned to organizational priorities and latest guidance and good practice, and are attended in line with business need
  • Lead a multi skilled team of staff, permanent and fixed term resource to collectively deliver a high quality service for the organization
  • Be accountable for a sizeable budget, seeking best value by evaluating the effectiveness of relevant programmes through robust scrutiny and performance management of in-house and out-sourced service providers


You Will Have:

  • A track record of commissioning learning services, managing the related contractual issues and monitoring performance through a robust framework of SLAs
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, in order to gain buy-in to leadership initiatives
  • The ability to properly assess and anticipate risk and escalate as needed
  • Established knowledge and experience of how to create a leadership strategy and plans within an organisational context, assessing specific requirements and providing best-fit approaches
  • Experience leading a large team to deliver programmes in a complex environment, ideally within the public sector


This role is running for a period of 12 months. It is a hybrid role based in London with a minimum of 3 days per-week in office.
