Starfish are supporting a Midlands based Local Authority seeking to hire an Interim Head of Internal Communications for a duration of up to 6 months, with an immediate start.
THE ROLE
This position will report to the Director of Policy & Communications, collaborating closely with the Chief Executive and Director to formulate an internal communications approach/strategy. The focus will be on supporting the Chief Executive and the transformation program aimed at reshaping the council’s service delivery. Responsibilities include devising and spearheading, in collaboration with the internal communications officer, a comprehensive content calendar throughout the year. This calendar will encompass various elements such as Staff Awards, Staff Engagement initiatives, HR & personnel updates, and the integration of the broader council narrative.
The role requires on-site presence two days per week.
