On behalf of our client, we are looking for immediately available interim Directors of Adult Commissioning, Policy and Improvement.
We are looking for individuals who would like to be part of their exciting renewal journey who can bring experience to capably lead the commissioning service for Adult Social Care and Adult Public Health, from a strategic and operational perspective, putting policy into practice and delivering high quality equipment services to our customer borough’s and effective hospital discharge and placement and brokerage services. The post holder will directly impact quality through improvement initiatives, bringing innovation and efficiency.
The post holder will be joining a dynamic and diverse senior management team of professionals who are committed and motivated to improve outcomes in a sustainable way.
The post holder will be responsible for integration programmes and developing and implementing new commissioning models.
The role will involve working closely with our internal and multi-agency teams, partners, Cabinet Members and Councillors to implement new ways of working and commissioning meeting the objectives of the new Adult Social Care Strategy.
You will be the head of profession for commissioning and expected to manage complex issues with multiple partners that may include political considerations and work with a diverse range of providers, customers and stakeholders, and alongside other commissioners, project and programme leads, to promote and progress the work of the department. You will provide high quality professional advice to the corporate director of adult social care & health, the chief executive, Leader and Cabinet, the Scrutiny and Overview Committee, the shadow Health and Care Board, the Health and Well-Being Board.
The successful candidate will have strong commissioning experience, understanding of the policy context and a strong track record in partnership working, problem solving and leading teams and enjoy working with a diverse range of colleagues and partners at a senior level. They will be knowledgeable, enthusiastic and experienced in change programmes, commissioning practice, possess commercial acumen and a track record in budget and financial literacy and delivery of savings programmes.
This is a new role, for a temporary period as a secondment or interim opportunity, in a transformational environment, you will therefore also need to be adaptable, flexible and able to lead through change as well as being afforded the opportunity to grow and learn as a senior leader in health and social care.
This will be for a minimum of six months, preferably on a fixed term contract but also open to discussions on day rates.
