THE ROLE

This fast-paced and stimulating role leads our legal and governance service for Westminster City Council. You will be accountable for a wide range of services including our high performing team of lawyers, committee services, elections, land charges, coroner, member support, mayoralty office and information services.

We are looking for a Director whose integrity and curiosity can support elected members and officers with complex and sensitive agendas across planning, capital programmes, workforce change, new legislation, and the Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations. Reporting to Westminster’s Executive Director for Corporate Services/Monitoring Officer this is the chance to work for an ambitious, high-profile London borough and we are seeking a motivated leader who thinks inclusively, boldly and creatively to keep us ahead of the curve.
