Head of Digital

Staffordshire Police
£73,611 to £83,067
Hackney

Staffordshire Police is at an exciting moment in its organisational journey, having refreshed its digital strategy, committed significant investment in technology and built a senior leadership team with genuine ambition for transformation. The force is already pushing boundaries, from AI and digital evidence tools to new data analytics capability, and is now creating a dedicated digital function to drive the modernisation agenda forward.

THE ROLE

The Head of Digital is a newly created role within Staffordshire Police’s Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) service. You will establish a new digital function for the organisation, building a team and providing the strategic leadership needed to move the force from a paper-centric way of working to one that is genuinely digitally innovative.

Digital transformation in a policing environment has real meaning. It shapes how officers serve their communities, how the public experiences the force, and how frontline staff spend their time. You will lead the modernisation of internal processes, cutting through paperwork, tightening workflows and making sure officers and staff have systems that actually help them do their jobs rather than getting in the way.

This is a role for someone who thrives on building something new. You will join an open, supportive organisation that is genuinely committed to investing in people and technology, backed by senior leaders who understand what digital can deliver. Decision-making is quick and the culture is agile. For a digital leader driven by real change, this is a fantastic opportunity.
