Brent’s schools are among the best in London, with the vast majority rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted and 97.5% of pupils attending schools rated at least Good. Our primaries achieve excellent Key Stage 2 results and our secondaries deliver exceptional academic progress. We’re committed to sustaining these high standards and driving further improvement across all settings.
We’re seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to head Brent’s Education and Learning Service and drive excellence in school leadership and governance and delivery of specialist services, including Brent Music Service, the Gordon Brown Outdoor Centre and the Wembley Learning Zone.
Reporting to the Director of Education, Partnerships and Strategy, you’ll be responsible for a budget of over £10m and will work closely with schools and partners, ensuring that every child and young person in Brent receives a high-quality education. You’ll champion school improvement, support collaboration and partnership working across diverse settings and will help shape the borough’s future learning landscape as a strategic thinker with a passion for improving outcomes for children.
