Assistant Director Islington Learning Disability Partnership

London Borough of Islington
£82,014 to £99,369
Hackney

Islington is a dynamic, inner London borough serving over 206,000 residents. As a council we are committed to creating strong, inclusive and connected communities where, regardless of background, residents have fair and equal access to services. We are equally determined to provide our residents with high quality adult social care services which support them to live healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a strong leader with experience of delivering integrated health and social care services for people with Learning Disabilities. You will lead at scale and provide services on behalf of Islington Council, Camden and Islington Foundation Trust and the Whittington Health Trust. Putting people at the centre of everything while being a strong relationship and financial manager will be key.

Reporting to the Deputy Director (Operations) – Adult Social Care, the new Assistant Director will make a key contribution to the leadership and direction of Adult Social Care and the council as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and the directorate’s management team.

You will have a track record of managing transformational change at a senior management level – working in partnership with health partners and the voluntary sector – and will bring fresh thinking and innovative ideas to Islington, challenging the status quo and driving forward innovation and service excellence across ASC.
