Starfish Search are working with a Local Authority in the South of England to recruit an Interim Strategic Director to provide high-level strategic leadership and ensure the successful delivery of key ambitions, policies, and initiatives.

THE ROLE

You will:

  • Lead the visioning, development, and implementation of the Council’s Cooperative Corporate Plan and major strategic programmes.
  • Provide strategic direction of large scale capital programmes such as Regeneration or Housing Development schemes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Directors to ensure the Chief Executive is properly advised both on Government initiatives, requirements and changes and major local maters.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience working overall strategic leadership and corporate planning with in a local government context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build partnerships across sectors.
