Interim Procurement Lead – Public Health

Starfish Search is working with a local authority to recruit an Interim Procurement Lead – Public Health. The focus of this role will be to lead on the procurement delivery of a first-generation service that aligns with the Council’s objectives of improving the health of the population whilst reducing health inequalities.
THE ROLE
You Will:
- Be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement process for the service
- Provide effective and timely procurement advice to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable procurement legislation
- Ensure that the procurement and contract documents are robust and reflect the values of the Council
- Ensure that all procurement systems are up to date and effectively maintained including, but not limited to the Council’s e-tendering system, and other relevant portals
You Will Have:
- Demonstrable and relevant knowledge of procurement legislation and processes, including the newly introduced Provider Selection Regime
- Demonstrable experience of successfully implementing and delivering procurement projects to time and budget
- Relevant knowledge of local authority governance processes
- Demonstrable experience and a proven track record of leading successful and compliant end to end procurement activity to deliver similar public health / social care services within the public sector
This is a remote role, running for a period of 3-6 months.
