Starfish are supporting a Local Authority Client in the North to recruit an Interim Monitoring Officer to lead the Legal and Democratic Services for 3 to 6 months from May.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and supervise the provision of Legal and Democratic services within the Council, while actively contributing to its strategic direction.
Spearhead the formulation of strategies and policies, advocating for organisational priorities and initiatives.
Offer informed advice and guidance to elected officials regarding the planning and execution of council services.
Fulfil the role of Monitoring Officer for the Council, serving as a dedicated governance expert.

The role is fully hybrid with the need to be present for key meetings.
