We are working with a well-established London-based charity that is undergoing a significant period of organisational change and modernisation. As part of a recent leadership restructure, the organisation is embedding a new operating model, strengthening its central services function, and investing in improved systems and processes to support the delivery of its mission and long-term ambitions. At the heart of this work is a focus on ensuring financial sustainability, operational excellence, and strong support for front-line services.
We are seeking an Interim Head of Finance to provide strategic and operational leadership to the finance function during a key transitional period. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for financial planning, management reporting, budgeting, statutory accounts, audit, and financial controls. You will also play a key role in several important priorities, including the year-end process, annual budgeting cycle, implementation and embedding of a new finance system, and supporting the development of the finance team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record of leading finance functions within complex organisations. Experience within the charity, public, housing, or wider not-for-profit sector would be advantageous, alongside the ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders, provide clear financial insight, and lead teams through periods of change.
This is a full-time interim appointment for an initial 6-month FTC. Hybrid working is in place, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in the London office.
