Interim Director of Community Safety

Starfish Search are working with a local authority in London to recruit an Interim Director of Community Safety. This role will report to the Strategic Director within the Housing, Environment and Communities Division.
THE ROLE
You will:
- Provide strategic direction on the future operating model for the delivery of enforcement and regulatory services.
- Be the key point of contact for community safety, working closely with Metropolitan Police.
- Act as a driving force behind innovative, organisation operational initiatives. Ensuring that the services are performing effectively, provide good value for money and adhere to statutory regulations.
You will have:
- Extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment within which the Enforcement and Community Safety teams will operate and able to see both the big picture and focus on specific elements.
- In depth understanding of the financial significance within the public and private sector.
- Educated to degree standard or relevant experience equivalent to having gained a degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Health or one of the other disciplines.
