Starfish Search are working with a higher education institution to recruit an Interim Development Director. The focus of this role is to lead on developing the strategy and operational plan for a major capital campaign, whilst also being responsible for alumni relations and philanthropic giving.
THE ROLE
You Will:
- Lead and line-manage the Development and Alumni Relations team
- Curate and strengthen relations with key alumni and current/potential donors in readiness for the capital campaign
- Develop and begin to implement a strategy for enhancing alumni engagement across all categories and giving levels
- As a senior officer, participate in the oversight and management of the College’s wider day-to-day operations
You Will Have:
- Experience of fundraising in a membership or higher education organisation and/or dealing with alumni
- A proven track record in major gift fundraising, including experience of planning and executing major capital campaign fundraising at a senior level
- Experience managing, developing, and mentoring colleagues with the ability to lead and motivate staff
- The ability to balance a strategic overview and a hands-on approach to fundraising
This role is running for a period of 12-months and offers a salary up to £100,000.
