Starfish Search are working with a housing company to recruit an Interim Development Director. In this role you will work alongside the Managing Director to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives and growth targets
THE ROLE
You Will:
- Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and management of real estate development projects.
- Lead the identification and growth of development opportunities from our shareholders existing land holdings and from other partners to identify, secure and progress viable development sites
- Work closely with the finance team to create complex financial models to assess the feasibility and profitability of development projects
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, design, entitlements, construction, and leasing/sales
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and uncertainties associated with development and investment projects
You Will Have:
- A deep understanding of real estate markets, financial analysis, project management, and ability to drive business growth through prudent investment decisions
- Experience in leading development within an opportunity led entrepreneurial environment
- The ability to adapt to changing conditions to generate innovative and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented
- Strong project management skills to effectively coordinate multiple campaigns and tasks simultaneously
This role reports into the Managing Director. It is a 12-month fixed term contract based in London.
