Starfish Search is working with a Charity to identify an Interim Chief Executive. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to guide a respected organisation through the concluding stages of a major transformation programme and a period of financial and operational adjustment.
THE ROLE
You will:
- Lead the organisation through the remaining phases of a transformation programme designed to modernise systems, strengthen services, and enhance organisational effectiveness.
- Oversee the finalisation and implementation of a cost reduction programme, ensuring sound financial stewardship and accountability.
- Lead the development of a balanced budget for 2026/27 and a sustainable three-year financial and strategic plan.
- Provide inclusive, motivating leadership for staff and volunteers, maintaining clarity of purpose, morale, and wellbeing during a time of change.
You will have:
- Substantial senior leadership experience within a complex, mission-driven organisation
- A proven record of leading organisational change and transformation.
- Strong financial and strategic planning capability, with experience of managing cost reduction and organisational realignment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently in a politically and socially complex environment.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership, with a clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
This interim assignment is expected to run for an initial period of 6 months. The role offers a salary of circa. £120,000.
The organisation operates a hybrid working model, with the Interim Chief Executive expected to spend regular time in London.
