Starfish Search are working with a local authority in London to recruit an Interim Property Acquisition Programme Director. The council is looking to purchase housing stock to support their homelessness responsibilities.
You Will:
- Secure housing purchase at scale; to provide affordable housing for residents
- Strategically aid the move from a reliance on the private rented sector to council stock ownership
- Collaborate and join up efforts with colleagues across the council
You Will Have:
- A knowledge of the national property market and how to access scale opportunities
- An understanding of property compliance and standards issues for emergency, temporary accommodation and prs
- An ability to work at pace to deliver solutions
- High financial literacy and can produce viability and cost avoidance financial assessments
- Strong negotiation skills and secure arrangements in a highly competitive marketplace
- Private or public sector experience
As the role involves national procurement the working arrangements are flexible. They are initially looking for someone for a period of 6 months.
