Starfish Search are working with a financial advisory charity who, due to illness, have an urgent need for a qualified accountant to be their Interim Head of Finance and Investments.
THE ROLE
You Will
- Oversee the preparation of the 2022/23 Accounts and Financial Statements in accordance with UK GAAP and Charity SORP and manage the external audit
- Lead the provision of all financial and investment services for the charity, ensuring strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting to enable effective decision making and future sustainability
- Support the Director of Finance & Support in ensuring that the highest standards of governance are in place, in line with best practice, and provide independent and objective assurance on the management of audit and risk for the Charity
You Will Have:
- An excellent knowledge of charity accounts
- A familiarity with investment portfolios with restricted and unrestricted funds
- Strong financial accounting skills and experience of managing an external audit
This position is expected to last 2- 3 months. While hybrid working is an option there will be a requirement during the audit to regularly attend their London office. You will need to be available to start this role within the next week.
