Key Responsibilities:
- Provide portfolio-level leadership, governance and assurance across complex cross-council transformation activity, ensuring programmes are effectively sequenced, resourced and delivered
- Drive sustainable service redesign, operational improvement and digital transformation that improve outcomes for residents and reduce the cost of demand
- Oversee portfolio benefits realisation, financial savings and organisational capacity for change, ensuring delivery remains aligned to corporate objectives and financial sustainability
- Build a high-performing transformation and programme management function that embeds the capability, disciplines and culture required to deliver lasting organisational complex change
- Lead the development and delivery of the Council’s corporate transformation strategy, aligned with organisational priorities and financial objectives
- Identify and prioritise opportunities for service improvement, organisational redesign and more effective ways of working
About You:
- Senior local authority leadership experience across complex, multi-service directorates
- Deep knowledge and track record of delivering £25m-£50m+ transformational change
- Proven experience of delivering measurable financial, operational and service improvement outcomes
- Experience of organisational and service redesign, including implementation of new operating models and ways of working
