Starfish Search are supporting a local authority in the South of England on the appointment of an Interim Assistant Director of Transformation – SEND.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the council’s SEND transformation programme.
- Drive service improvement to enhance outcomes for children, young people and families.
- Oversee programme plans, budgets, risks and delivery milestones.
- Work with senior leaders and partners across education, health and children’s services.
- Support financial sustainability and cost containment within the High Needs Block.
- Engage stakeholders to drive change and embed new ways of working.
About you
- Significant experience leading complex transformation programmes.
- Strong programme management and service improvement experience.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience delivering financial efficiencies and organisational change.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- SEND, children’s services and local government experience would be highly desirable.
