Interim Director of Change

Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Director of Change to lead the council’s corporate transformation agenda, supporting service improvement, financial sustainability and better outcomes for residents
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the council’s corporate transformation programme
- Drive service redesign, savings and continuous improvement
- Lead major cross-council change programmes, including digital and technology-enabled transformation
- Establish strong programme governance and ensure delivery of benefits
- Work closely with senior leaders, Members and teams across the council
- Lead organisational and cultural change through a period of transformation
About You:
- Senior transformation/change leadership experience, ideally within local government or the public sector
- Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation, savings and service improvement
- Strong understanding of programme governance and portfolio management
- Experience of digital transformation and technology-enabled change
- Politically astute, collaborative and able to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to lead through complexity
