Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Head of Economy to lead the council’s economic growth, employment and skills agenda, working with partners to attract investment, support businesses and improve opportunities for residents.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the council’s Economy service
- Drive economic growth, inward investment and business engagement
- Oversee employment, skills and adult learning programmes
- Build partnerships across the public and private sectors
- Secure external funding and deliver key economic initiatives
- Manage budgets and lead service improvement
About You:
- Senior leadership experience within a Local Authority
- Background in economic development, regeneration or employment and skills
- Strong track record of delivering growth and partnership working
- Experience managing large budgets and complex programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management and political awareness
