Interim Chief Digital Officer

Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Chief Digital Officer.
This is a key leadership role, providing strategic oversight of the council’s digital, ICT and information governance functions while ensuring critical services remain stable during a period of organisational change.
Key requirements:
- Provide strategic leadership across the council’s digital and ICT services
- Oversee the delivery of a proposed service restructure and consultation process
- Maintain stability across live operational services and transformation programmes
- Work closely with Corporate Directors, Members and key partners
- Ensure strong governance, risk management and service continuity throughout the transition
About you:
- Interim Chief Digital Officer experience within a local authority is preferable
- A senior digital or technology leader with experience leading large-scale transformation
- Strong knowledge of ICT, cyber security, information governance and data management
- Comfortable operating at executive level within complex organisations, ideally in the public sector
- A collaborative leader who can balance strategic change with operational delivery
