Interim Fundraising Consultant – Supporter Care

Starfish Search is working with a leading national charity to recruit an Interim Consultant to lead a strategic review of Supporter Care. This is a critical opportunity to shape the future of supporter engagement, helping to lay the foundations for ambitious growth and transformation.

THE ROLE

You will:

  • Assess the current Supporter Care function, mapping strengths, challenges, and opportunities for development.
  • Factor in live change projects, including a new CRM, brand relaunch, audience segmentation, and supporter journey planning, to build a holistic view of the supporter experience.
  • Develop a clear business case setting out vision, direction, and structure for a supporter experience-led model, including options and phased approaches.
  • Benchmark approaches against sector peers to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Engage colleagues across engagement, brand, marketing, campaigns, and fundraising teams to ensure a joined-up cross-organisational approach.
  • Present clear recommendations and pragmatic next steps, including resourcing requirements and role profiles to take the work forward.

You will have:

  • Substantial experience in supporter care, supporter experience, or customer engagement, ideally in a charity or purpose-led environment.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver strategies that improve supporter journeys and enhance loyalty.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with experience producing compelling business cases and recommendations.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work across teams and build consensus.
  • A pragmatic, phased approach to change, with the ability to balance ambition with operational realities.
  • An understanding of CRM systems, audience segmentation, and supporter journey design is highly desirable.

 

This is a part-time role (3 days per week) running for a period of six months, offering a day rate of c.£600pd Outside IR35.

This is a hybrid role.
