Assistant Director of Adult Services – Transformation

Blackpool Council
Salary up to £88,616
Hackney

Blackpool is a town undergoing ambitious and exciting change. With more than £2bn being invested, our community is benefiting from renewed energy, inclusive economic growth, and a stronger future. We are proud of the progress we’ve made, but we recognise there is more to do, particularly in Adults to meet the needs of our residents.

THE ROLE

Following a recent CQC inspection, we are working to strengthen our approach and make the improvements needed to ensure the best possible support for our residents. This includes a sharper focus on leadership, quality and inclusion — as well as renewed ambition and pace of change.

Reporting directly to the Director of Adult Social Services (DASS), we are seeking a social work qualified Assistant Director with the drive, resilience and capability to support the next phase of improvement in our service. You will join a service with a stable foundation and a dedicated workforce. Our priority now is to bring in fresh thinking and collaborative leadership to shape the transformation journey ahead. You’ll work closely with our Director of Adult Services and wider corporate team to co-produce new solutions and embed a stronger culture of learning and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a values-driven leader who is ready to take the next step, if you’re ready to make a difference and help shape the future of adult services in Blackpool, we’d love to hear from you.
