Technical Architect x2

Royal Borough of Greenwich
Salary up to £74,000 plus generous Local Government Pension Scheme
Hackney

A London borough of culture and diversity, Greenwich hosts the O2 arena, the Royal Park, the Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark and the Royal Naval College. It is also a place with significant social, economic and health inequalities which we are determined to address and make Greenwich a happier, healthier and more connected borough via our Corporate Plan.

THE ROLE

We are committed to investing in our digital and design functions to enable the Council’s mission and have already invested heavily in our cloud infrastructure, and technology stack to ensure we are able to deliver reliable, trustworthy and impactful services through fit for purpose product based technology.

Crucial to this is our Technology Architecture and we are seeking to appoint two Technical Architects who will report into the Head of Product and will own and shape our technical strategy and approach, holding the vision of the council-wide architectural design. You will be an experienced Technical Architect with extensive cloud-first software development experience, ideally within the Public Sector with a strong track record of making complex technical change happen.

Royal Borough of Greenwich values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community.
