Andrew has worked in recruitment for 15 years and has significant experience leading teams in public sector organisations and operating in complex political environments. Prior to Starfish, Andrew was responsible for leading all recruitment for the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Mayor of London boards. Recruited to modernise the service, he was pivotal in supporting the GLA’s rapid workforce growth, significantly improving the diversity of senior appointments, and successfully delivering on a wide range of complex board appointments. Starting his recruitment career at the London Metropolitan Police Service to help improve the diversity of new police officers, Andrew went on to lead recruitment teams for the NHS and helped deliver a national staffing restructure for a large homelessness charity. He also has experience working in the youth services sector and mentoring ex-offenders.
